Slipped and fell on stairs from a height of about half meter, the patient hit his left knee forcefully against the ground. Abrasion at the anterior aspect of the left knee with tenderness.

Left knee x-ray demonstrates a tibial tuberosity comminuted fracture with two dominant fragments and multiple other smaller fragments.
The differential diagnosis is osteochondritis.
