Presentation
She presented with persistent shortness of breath on a background of COVID-19 two months ago and her most recent PCR 2 weeks earlier was negative.
Patient Data
Evidence of thin linear opacities seen diffusely in both lungs measuring ~1-3 mm in thickness, parallel to the pleura, representing subpleural bands, part of persistent COVID-19 pulmonary changes, even after patient's recovery.
Lung bases from stone protocol CT KUB, which was done just before the COVID-19 infection (and shown here for comparison), shows that the lungs were clear.
Case Discussion
The case shows the comparison between the normal lungs that the patient had, and the architectural distortion and formation of subpleural bands after COVID-19 infection, which persists even after the patient's proven recovery.
