Presentation

A professional soccer player had to pause training for painfully limited left hip movement. X-rays, ultrasound, and MRI were inconclusive. An MR arthrogram was prescribed.

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

The MR arthrogram showed contrast entering an extensive cleavage tear of the acetabular labrum. There was no labral dislocation but massive degeneration.
