Full-thickness tear of left adductor longus tendon from its origin with retracted tendon. T2/STIR hyperintense collection surrounding the ruptured tendon. No osseous injury identified.
Bilateral hydrocele.
Case Discussion
Adductor longus tears are commonly seen in sports-related injuries of the groin. They may be associated with chronic osseous changes of the pubic symphysis in cases of repetitive microtrauma.
Clinical differential diagnosis includes a strangulated inguinal hernia.
