Large right suprarenal cystic mass arising from the adrenal gland with thin wall and homogeneous fluid content. No solid component or internal septation is seen. A mass effect is noted on the adjacent structures with upwards displacement of the liver and downwards displacement of the right kidney and hepatic flexure.
Case Discussion
CT features of a large thin-walled suprarenal cystic mass of homogeneous content most consistent with an adrenal cyst.
Adrenal cysts are rare, with an estimated incidence of <1%. Four subtypes were described:
- pseudocysts
- endothelial cysts
- epithelial cysts
- parasitic cysts (usually hydatid)
