Avulsion of the right anterior inferior iliac spine. No other injury. No other bony abnormality.
Case Discussion
Avulsion of the anterior inferior iliac spine is a reasonably common cause of hip pain in adolescents. Especially those who are involved in kicking sports, e.g. soccer, rugby. The right side is more often involved because most people are right-footed.
