Biceps femoris muscle injury

Presentation

Tried to catch a cricket ball 15 days ago. Complaining of posterior thigh pain.

Patient Data

Age: 27 years
Gender: Male
Modality: X-ray

There is no bony abnormality.

Modality: Ultrasound

At the site of pain pointed by the patient, there is a fluid collection replacing the biceps femoris muscle fibres - haematoma. There is an extra-muscular fluid crescent favouring tear of muscle sheath locally.
