Ultrasound showed two uterine horns fusing at the lower end with a single cervix suggesting a diagnosis of bicornuate uterus.
Case Discussion
A bicornuate uterus is where we have incomplete fusion of the segment of the Mullerian duct which develops into the uterus, which results in a uterus with two horns. The diagnosis of bicornuate uterus is important as it is associated with infertility, recurrent pregnancy losses and malpresentation.
