Bilateral occipital sinus well-demonstrated on postcontrast axial T1 and MIP sequence, draining into the ipsilateral internal jugular vein.

Hypoplastic transverse sinuses mainly the left.

Case Discussion

MRI features of persistent occipital sinus bilaterally (incidental finding).

The occipital sinus must be mentioned in radiological reports, especially in patients with posterior fossa masses or conditions that will require a posterior fossa craniotomy, as the sinus may be large or, more importantly, off-midline.
