Elongated, about 40 mm long homogenous calcific density noted in the supraspinatus tendon. Note an ~10 mm long posterolateral cortical irregularity of the humeral head in line with prior Hill-Sachs injury. Moderate degenerative changes in depicted joints.
Case Discussion
Striking case of calcific tendinitis of the supraspinatus tendon. CT was the first imaging requested, which is not typical and is a suboptimal choice in terms of imaging utilization.
