Presentation

Cervical pain. No history of trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

There is a corticated defect in the C2 vertebral posterior arch between superior and inferior articular facets of the articular pillar. The flexion view shows grade I anterior listhesis of C2 over C3 vertebra. The rest of the cervical vertebrae are normal. The intervertebral disc spaces are maintained.

Case Discussion

The case shows cervical spondylolysis which is commonly seen in the lumbar vertebrae. There is a spondylolisthesis with flexion of the cervical spine.
