Presentation
was changed:
2 monthmonths old infant, fed with formula milk. An episode of fever, treated with amoxicillin with subsequent improvement. History of infant colic and crying. No signs of jaundice.

The ultrasound study (performed for suspicious upper urinary tract infection) showed a cystic mass between pancreatic head and the gallbladder. Smooth wall and homogeneous anechoic content was detected.
The study is compatible with dilatation of extrahepatic bile duct, that's also known as a choledochal cyst. This is the type 1 of Todani classification of bile duct cysts.
