Dandy-Walker malformation with periventricular nodular gray matter heterotopia

Presentation

Seizures

Patient Data

Age: 8 months
Gender: Female

Enlarged posterior fossa is seen with hypoplasia of vermis and cephalad rotation of vermian remnant. Cystic dilatation of fourth ventricle is seen, extending posteriorly.

Torcular – lambdoid inversion is seen.

Bilateral lateral ventricles are mildly dilated with no obvious periventricular seepage.

Multiple small subependymal nodular lesions, isointense to gray matter are seen along posterior body, occipital and temporal horns of bilateral lateral ventricles.

Scalloping of occipital bone is seen.

Incomplete inversion of bilateral hippocampi seen.
