Increased bulk of right soleus and medial head of gastrocnemius muscles is seen with near complete fatty replacement of soleus and significant fatty infiltration of medial head of gastrocnemius muscle.
Case Discussion
In a known case of diabetes mellitus, the above MRI findings suggest the likelihood of right pseudohypertrophy of the calf muscles, likely secondary to denervation due to diabetes mellitus (diabetic neuropathy).
