Motorbike accident.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male
X-ray
Distal fibular fracture. No further fracture identified, however there is soft tissue swelling of the mid and forefoot.
X-ray
Mildly displaced and shortened obliquely orientated distal fibular fracture (Weber B) with a 5 mm bone fragment projecting over the ankle joint space, possibly intra-articular. Associated soft tissue swelling. No further fracture identified.

Case Discussion

The distal fibula and tibia are important check areas of foot radiographs.
