In most cases, there may be little to find on examination apart from drowsiness/reduced state of consciousness. However, signs such as a sixth nerve palsy (inability to move eyes to lateral side), third nerve palsy (suggested by enlarged, fixed pupils) or irregularities in blood pressure or pulse may suggest a more serious state.
