Presentation

Known case of Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) presented with acute abdominal pain for 3 days. Physical examination showed abdominal tenderness and rigidity.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male

Evidence of peritoneal thickening that is almost uniform in thickness with an interface with the omental fat, suggestive of peritonitis and in keeping with the patient's acute attack of familial Mediterranean fever (FMF).

The appendix appears normal.
