Presentation
Patient twisted his right foot while walking.
Patient Data
No definite fracture line could be seen. However, faintly and barely seen lucent line involving the shaft of the fifth metatarsal bone associated with endosteal sclerosis. There is also faintly seen soft tissue swelling.
There is an oblique fracture involving the shaft of the fifth metatarsal bone.
Case Discussion
Here is the wisdom of radiology reporting, don't except one radiograph view, if you have any doubt, as one view is no view or not enough. This foot radiograph shows the fracture line fracture in oblique view, while on AP view it's not clearly visualized.
