Presentation was changed:
One week prior to the presentation, the patient had thea right mid-footmidfoot plantar region thorn injury. Presented with complaints of local pain and swelling. Referred for ultrasound of the local region to rule out/ rule/rule in a soft tissue foreign body.
Body was changed:

The case shows a soft tissue foreign body (thorn) in the plantar foot region without associated granuloma/ abscess/ tenosynovitis/abscess/tenosynovitis. AcousticAlthough an artifact, acoustic shadowing helps to localise a foreign body.

Updates to Study Attributes

Findings was changed:

There is a linear echogenic focus in the region of interest - arepresenting a foreign body. It is located on the medial side of the mid-footmidfoot plantar region soft tissue. The foreign body is aligned perpendicular to the long axis of the foot. Its superficial end is just deep to the skin. The deeper end of the foreign body is in the muscle and is about 10 mm deep to the skin. The foreign body measures about 18 mm in length. There is acoustic shadowing due to the foreign body. There is no surrounding granuloma/ abscess/abscess formation.
