These radiological findings created a dilemma, making it challenging to differentiate between a coin and a button battery. As reported in various articles, a step-off sign suggests that the foreign body is a button battery, regardless of the presence or absence of a Halo or Pseudo-Halo sign.Urgent rigid esophagoscopy was performed, which revealed the removal of the foreign body. Surprisingly, it consisted of overlapping two different-sized coins (see Fig 3).
