CT scan revealed dense gall stones and small distal CBD stones. Mild intra and extra-hepatic biliary dilatation.
Incidental finding of left ventricular hypodense filling defect, most likely thrombus.
Case Discussion
Left ventricular thrombus is most commonly a complication of acute MI.
The primary risk for left ventricular thrombus is systemic embolism, which can be particularly life-threatening in the heart and brain (stroke).
In this patient, left ventricular thrombus was detected incidentally, which was confirmed on 2D echocardiogram.
