Presentation

Presented with ataxia, dysarthria, left arm weakness, facial droop and high blood pressure ?posterior circulation stroke

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
mri

There is a small focus of restricted diffusion involving the left posterolateral aspect of the medulla.  There is a corresponding high signal intensity on both T2 and FLAIR images.

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with left lateral medullary syndrome.
