Uterine lipoleiomyomas are rare benign tumors with reported incidence from 0.03% to 0.2%. These tumors are typically found in postmenopausal women and are associated with ordinary leiomyomas. They may be asymptomatic or cause symptoms similar to those caused by leiomyomas.
Differential diagnostic considerations include:
- angiomyolipoma
- fibromyolipoma
- myelolipoma.
