Osseous fusion of the lunate and triquetral bones of the carpus.
A synovial cyst, measuring approximately 10 x 15 mm, is located between the extensor carpi ulnaris tendon and extensor digiti minimi at the dorsal aspect of the wrist and ulnar styloid.

Lunotriquetral coalition is the most common type of carpal bone coalition and is more common in women than men.
