Carpal coalitions are rareThe lunotriquetral coalition is the most common followed by capitohamate.It is generally asymptomatic especially when the coalition is osseous, as is it in this case.

Positive ulnar variance describes where the distal articular surface of the ulna is more distal whenas compared to the articular surface of the radius. It is associated with ulnar impaction syndrome and triangular fibrocartilage tears.
