Mineralization is seen along lateral edges of bilateral putamen.
Focal chronic lacunar infarcts are seen in subcortical white matter of bilateral frontal lobes.
No evidence of fresh infarct, acute bleed or space occupying lesion in brain parenchyma.
Asymmetric prominence of right lateral ventricle is seen(anatomical variant).
Case Discussion
Disproportionate mineralization of lateral edges of bilateral putamen (appreciated on GRE images) suggests likelihood of multisystem atrophy type P and is the likely cause of tremors.
