Rounded lucency is noted in subarticular location of the medial talar dome, suggestive of osteochondral lesion.
Case Discussion
MRI study (not available) revealed subchondral cystic and edematous marrow changes at the medial part of the talar dome associated with signal alteration of the overlying cartilage, reflecting focal osteochondral injury (Stage IIA). Also noted, degenerative osteoarthritic changes of the intertarsal and tarsometatarsal joints with subchondral cystic changes.
