Microscopic Descriptiondescription:
Sections show a papillary tumor with a fibrovascular core covered by a multilayered collection of well-differentiated epithelial cells. The basal layer of cells show a degree of nuclear pallisading and there are focal areas with a loose, microcystic pattern. There is no obvious keratin formation.
Final diagnosis: Suprasellar nodule; papillary craniopharyngioma.
