Differential diagnoses of paramedian cystic masses in the upper neck include thyroglossal duct cysts and ranularanulas. Thyroglossal duct cyst is the most common type of congenital neck cyst and paediatric neck masses. They are typically located in the midline of the anterior neck, closedclose to the hyoid bone or paramedian within the strap muscles.
