Parotid duct strictures

Presentation

A 10-year history of intermittent bilateral parotid swelling with meals.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male
MRI

Dilated right parotid duct with strictures (arrow). Dilated left parotid duct with multiple strictures (arrows).

MR sialography showing more extensive left parotid duct strictures (arrows) with intraparenchymal strictures and minimal sialectasis.

Case Discussion

MR sialography is akin to MRCP, i.e. heavily T2 weighted HASTE-type images.
