A 62×60 mm thin walled nonenhanced cystic lesion is present in pre aortocaval regions inferior to the pancreatic head. A few focal septal calcifications are noted within.
A few nonenhanced simple cortical cysts are seen in both kidneys.
The prostate gland is enlarged.
Case Discussion
Features are most consistent with retroperitoneal lymphatic malformation, also known as lymphangioma, a rare benign cystic lesion of vascular origin.
Only about 1% of all lymphatic malformations occur in the retroperitoneal space.
