Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Diffuse synovial thickening/hypertrophy (synovial pannus) throughout the elbow joint associated with joint effusion and capsular distension are seen.

Cartilage loss and subchondral edema and cystic changes are seen at the medial and lateral condyles of the humerus, radial head, and olecranon process.

Case Discussion

Known case of rheumatoid arthritis with recent elbow pain. MRI showed joint effusion and intra-articular synovial pannus.
