Rotated dislocated glenoid component of reverse shoulder arthroplasty
Presentation
Bradycardia and bibasal creps. Known cardiac patient.
Patient Data
Diffuse interstitial thickening throughout the lungs and upper zone vascular redistribution in keeping with pulmonary edema. No alveolar consolidation. Minor blunting of left costophrenic angle in keeping with a small pleural effusion. No pneumothorax.
The heart is enlarged even allowing for AP projection. The aorta is mildly calcified and unfolded. Possible mitral annulus calcification. No pneumothorax or free subdiaphragmatic gas.
The glenoid component of the left reverse shoulder arthroplasty is rotated 180 degrees and faces medially, dislocated from the humeral component.
Case Discussion
This case shows rotational displacement of the right reverse total shoulder replacement glenoid component. This was longstanding with the patient and family electing not to have further surgery due to age and co-morbidities.
