Case Discussion

Degenerative changes in young patients are concerning for an underlying aetiology. It may be post-traumatic, inflammatory or related to avascular necrosis. MRI can differentiate avascular necrosis from other causes.

Post-operatively the diagnosis was confirmed, however due to extensive nature of degenerative changes, hemiarthroplasty was done.
