  • devascularization with breach of a segmental vessel involving lower pole ofspleenof the spleen with an arterial blush and perisplenic hematoma.

Devascularization of the spleen is an urgent indication for surgical intervention as active bleeding needs to be stopped. Any grade morehigher than grade III is surgically intervenedrequires surgical intervention usually resulting in a partial or total splenectomy.
