Gender: Female

Mild anterolisthesis of L5 on S1. Lucencies through both pars interarticularis of L5.

Case Discussion

Spondylolisthesis is a relatively common cause of low back pain in adolescents. Although often in this age group, the presentation may be with a stress injury of the pars interarticularis without an established osseous defect. This will be occult on x-ray but seen on MRI.
