Malignant cells present. Abnormal Abnormal cells are seen withdelicate cytoplasm, enlarged nuclei, and coarsely coarsely granular cytoplasm,consistent with non small cell carcinoma.

Endobronchial biopsies

Right bronchus intermedius biopsy invasive squamous cell carcinoma, moderately differentiated.

Theclinical history of an obstructing lesion and a right hilar mass is noted noted.The specimen consists of multiple fragments of tissue covered by squamous squamous type mucosa. No normal ciliated bronchial epithelium is identified identified.An invasive squamous cell carcinoma is seen underneath the surface surface mucosa.  T
