Updates to Study Attributes

Findings was changed:

Rounded but ill-defined soft tissue swelling is located posteromedial to the femur. There is evidence of cortical erosion which appears to have a relatively wide relatively wide zone of transition. The mass itself demonstrates no calcification. Incidental note is made of contrast in the bladder from the preceding CT scan (not shown).

Answer was changed:
Aggressive. The cortical erosion with a wide zone of transition is the most important finding to assess biological behaviour. A benign, slow growing -growing mass may remodel the adjacent bone but result in a smooth and sharply demarcated border.

Answer was changed:
The features are most likely those of a soft tissue sarcoma. Synovial sarcoma and malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) are the most likely diagnoses (the former is usually within 5 cm of the joint, the laterlatter usually in older patients). Other sarcomas could appear indistinguishable (e.g. fibrosarcoma).
