Case contributed by Ahmed Abdrabou
Diagnosis certain

Presentation

The patient developed urinary incontinence and vaginal discharge following cesarean section.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

At the portovenous phase, the uterine cavity is filled with fluid and a hypodense hematoma is noted at its posterior wall. At delayed images, the uterus is filled with contrast material and a fistula could be identified between the left ureter and cervical cavity surrounded by fat stranding.

Case Discussion

An abnormal communication between the ureter and the vaginal/cervical cavity is a known complication of hysterectomy rather than cesarean section. The operative details are unfortunately missing in this case. The patient underwent double J stent placement within the left ureter.
