Pedunculated hepatic haemangiomas are a type of hepatic haemangioma and are rare benign tumours of the liver. They can create a diagnostic challenge when they are connected only by a thin stalk and can be mistaken for a malignant mass.
Clinical presentation
They can be asymptomatic or complicated by torsion, resulting in pain.

These tumours follow a typical enhancement pattern of haemangiomas with peripheral, nodular enhancement on early phases, which gradually fills in on portal venous and delayed phases. The thin stalk/pedicle is often undetectable on imaging.
