Pedunculated hepatic haemangioma

Lobulated mass lateral to the left hepatic lobe, connected by a thin stalk. Subtle, peripheral nodular enhancement on the portal venous phase images. No detectable enhancement on arterial phase (chest) images.
Hepatic steatosis.
Case Discussion
This case illustrates how multiphasic exams (such as a trauma protocol with arterial phase chest and portal venous phase abdomen/pelvis) can be used to problem solve unknown lesions. In this case, the two phases help to show typical features of a hepatic haemangioma, allowing you to confidently make the diagnosis of a pedunculated hepatic haemangioma.
