A coronal section through the brain (autopsy) demonstrates a large lobar hemorrhage. A second old microhemorrhage superolateral to the main hematoma is also present suggesting underlying cerebral amyloid angiopathy.
Case Discussion
Typical appearances of a lobar hemorrhage in a patient with probable cerebral amyloid angiopathy.
