Presentation

Known case of esophageal cancer with recently exacerbated dysphagia.

Patient Data

Age: 90 years
Gender: Female

Barium swallow

Fluoroscopy

Shouldering stricture is present at the distal of the esophagus, and a stent is inserted in the diseased segment that is displaced inferiorly toward the stomach. No sign of contrast media leakage is noted.

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates esophageal stent slippage.

These stents are widely used for the palliative treatment of inoperable esophageal malignancies.
