Nephrectomy specimen demonstrating the kidney to be markedly enlarged (>20 cm) by numerous cysts many of which show dark content consistent with hemorrhage.
A coronal section through the kidney confirms the presence of blood clot in some of the cysts and demonstrates little remaining normal renal parenchyma.
