Well-circumscribed extra-axial mass centered on the anterior aspect of the left middle cranial fossa with broad-based dural attachment to the sphenoid wing, extending to the cavernous sinus. It displays an isosignal to the cortical grey matter on T1, T2 and FLAIR with vivid homogeneous enhancement. No evidence of intraorbital extension. Surrounding vasogenic edema extending to the frontal and temporal lobes with a mass effect on the midline structures and mild uncal herniation.
Cerebral volume loss is noted.
Case Discussion
MRI features are most consistent with a sphenoid wing meningioma.
