Case Discussion

Body packing refers to the internal concealment of substances, usually illicit drugs, within the gastrointestinal tract.

Most cases are asymptomatic but may present with symptoms of complications of foreign body ingestion (such as obstruction or perforation) or drug intoxication.

In this case, the patient did not develop any complications during admission. He later confirmed the ingestion of multiple cocaine pellets.
