Sonographic features
In the midfoot, there's a fusiform nodular thickening of the plantar fascia (PF) with regular margins, hypoechoic, poorly vascularized of approximately 3 cm.
Case Discussion
The typical finding of plantar fibromatosis is a single fusiform, hypoechoic, well-demarcated nodule, from proliferation of fibroblasts, without vascularization, usually located in the median portion of the plantar fascia in the absence of calcifications.
