Presentation

Limping gate.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

The right acetabulum has a steep contour and is shallow. The right femoral head has lost its normal rounded shape and is flattened with a short femoral neck. 

Case Discussion

Appearance is compatible with unilateral acetabular dysplasia (developmental dysplasia of the hip). Acetabular dysplasia is a form of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) often referred to in the adolescent and adult population 1.
