Right frontal lobe extra-axial CSF equivalent signal cystic lesion measures 20 x 30 x 40 mm with no water restriction on DWI images.
Thinning of the adjacent right frontal bone.
Mass effect with effacement of adjacent sulci.
No midline shift or hydrocephalus.
High signal foci on T2 and flair sequences at subcortical and periventricular white matter of both cerebral hemispheres depict microvascular ischaemic events.
Case Discussion
The right frontal extra-axial lesion demonstrates features characteristic of an arachnoid cyst.
