Patient Data

Coronal images through the pelvis show the irregular articular surface of the left femoral head with irregular sclerosis, suggestive of avascular necrosis of the left femoral head.
A transplanted kidney is noted at the right iliac fossa.
Incidental right direct inguinal hernia transmitting small bowel and bladder.
Incidental uterine fibroids.
Case Discussion
A female patient with renal transplant complained of left hip pain, revealed left femoral head avascular necrosis. It is a serious osseous complication after renal transplantation. MRI is useful in the detection of early osteonecrosis after renal transplantation.
